Veganism is a compassionate lifestyle that avoids, as far as possible, the consumption and use of animal and animal-derived products.  This also encompasses the choice NOT to make use of any products or services that have caused distress, pain or death to any animal.

Vegan: a person who chooses to abstain from eating, drinking, and using any animal or animal derived products.

A Vegan chooses to:

  • Eat and drink non-animal and non-animal derived products;
    (e.g. soya sausages, tofu ice-cream)
  • Wear non-animal materials;
    (e.g. cotton, acrylic)
  • Use products without any animal ingredients and that have not been tested on animals;
    (e.g. Innoxa products, Weleda toothpaste);
  • Respect all living beings and prevent death, injury and discomfort wherever possible.
    (e.g. 'humane' mouse traps, organic gardening)
